For National Running Day, I did just that, went on a run. I am without my Bose ear buds because they are replacing them thanks to a great warranty so I had no choice but to go “naked running”. I always dread going for a run without music at first but I end up loving it. I always think about the most random things. Today’s random topic:
I realized there are a few distinct qualities that this so:
Patience – As moms, we are always exercising patience. We know that things don’t happen immediately and that instant gratification isn’t real. When training for a marathon or anything like that, we take it day by day knowing that gains will come with hard work.
Dedication – There are many times we run when we’re pushing one, two or even three kids in a stroller. The reason we do that is because we know that if we don’t, we won’t get to run. It’s that dedication that keeps moms rolling!
Respect – On days where long runs are scheduled and a mom actually does get to go sans kids, they appreciate and respect the time. The make sure every second they have to train is not wasted.
I know there has to be more so what do you think? What qualities make moms good endurance athletes?
