We moms are always trying to find recipes for food that our toddlers will eat. I can’t tell you how many times we’ve bought something just to find out he doesn’t like it. Well I’ll tell you E eats this stuff like it’s going out of style. I usually pair it with some grapes, a banana or raisins.
My mom started making this for us years ago when we would drive to Florida every Christmas. It was great car food and we’ve been loving it ever since. Last Christmas she made it and transported it for us and it was there that E’s love affair with it began.
You know it’s a good recipe when you get it looking like this:
My husband LOVES his mom’s Chex mix. Maybe I should check out this recipe…. hmmmm… My mom, sadly, doesn’t really do anything I can’t live without…but I make chocolate chip cookies that my kids say they can’t live without 🙂
Sounds like you got the baking chops. You should try the recipe. I swear he’ll eat it all.
Wow! That’s got everything but the kitchen sink! Sounds delish!! I’ve never even thought of making chex mix before! I’ll have to try that! My mom always made a baked corn casserole growing up that i loved! The fam would request it for every holiday get together. Also growing up my gram made oatmeal peanut butter cookies that are to die for! Definitely brings back the memories! Thanks for sharing!! SPALove!
It use to be just a special treat we got once a year but it’s become a staple for us. 🙂

Love family recipes! They always turn out better than generic ones you find on the internet. We have a cake recipe that takes about 6-8 hrs to make; melt in your mouth goodness!
