Who doesn’t love a good weekend recap every now and then? I know I love seeing cute kid pics and enjoy reading about every one’s physical activity. It’s just a nice read so I thought I’d bring you into my world just a little with a glimpse of what my family did this weekend.
Friday Night – A wild and crazy night with family Friday night. My mom and brother’s family came up to STL so we just relaxed and hung out at my mom’s condo. E loves it because he can watch the Cards game from one of the windows. Hanging out at Mom’s always wears him out. We had to travel home a little dressed down due to a small incident with a sippy cup.
Saturday – Wow…what can I say? BUSY!! But don’t worry we started our day with a well rounded breakfast.

What mom? Goldfish aren’t considered breakfast food? |
After which, E and I headed out for a quick run before the madness ensued. After that it was on to E’s first soccer practice although I shouldn’t even call it a practice. There were a bunch of 18-24 month olds running around a quadrant of a soccer field. It was really chaos but it was hysterical none the less. E seemed to like it. He slept for three hours when we got back which meant that I got to do something I rarely do…

Look, when I spin, it stays on my head. |
After that, we headed back down to my mom’s condo so the cousins could play. They really do get along pretty well. They are all no more than a year apart so it makes it fun to watch.
Sunday – We got up at 6:45 (thanks to E who refused to sleep in) and were just kind of lazy till about 9. We got our weekly grocery store visit out of the way and then headed to the Cardinal game with the family. Once a year we all go to a game. This year was definitely bitter sweet since it was the first year we did this without my dad. The staff in the area we sit in really loved him so we had lots of good discussions but it was just a little sad. But we still managed to have fun. We saw Fredbird and the kids enjoyed time with the daddys.

Moms are all enjoying some conversation. |
When we got home, E and the hugs crashed so I took the opportunity to squeeze in another quick run before I needed to wake them up.
Overall, I love weekends like this. Spending time with family is about the best thing ever. Watching E interact with his cousins is so much fun and getting my workouts in makes me feel like I stayed on track.
Happy Monday!
What did you do this weekend?
Aw. The little ones are so cute. They remind me of my daughter and her cousins!
So jealous of your hammock 🙂 Glad you had a great weekend!
