I feel like it’s been a while since I just talked about life. What’s going on in mine, found out what’s going on in yours…you know..just talking. So I thought I’d share just a few of the random thoughts that go along with the random events right now.
1. Hawaii is just around the corner and I have to say this is one “journey” where I’m not looking forward to the “getting there part”. Taking E on a plane for 10 hours is not my idea of fun. I’m planning on packing plenty of snacks, apps, books, and other stuff so we’ll see how this goes. Once we’re there, I’ll be a way more calm. At least on the way home, we’ll be traveling at night, so the opportunity for him to sleep is higher.
2. The hubs and I have been on this quest lately to make our house a home. We have been here for a little over a year yet and it still just feels like a house we happen to be living in. Our last house had such an amazing vibe. I think the problem is we haven’t made any major changes to this one yet where as in the old home, we had redone the bathroom, kitchen, replaced EVERYTHING. Hell, it even had it’s own baby book. We just haven’t put our stamp on this house yet.
3. Sunday I changed it up a little bit and did my long run at Jefferson Barracks Park. A military park that just happens to be home to a military cemetery. *You don’t run through the cemetery (just so you know). Either way, the run itself did not go as I would’ve liked. I was trying to get at least five miles in at the pace that I’m looking to run it in and it just wasn’t happening. It felt like the harder I tried the worse it got. So I’m trying to wipe the slate clean this week and start over next week. It is kind of exciting that my last long run before the race, will be in Hawaii *assuming I can get away long enough to do it.
Ok, so that its. Those are some of the things filling my brain right now. So couple questions for you..
Have you ever been in a house that didn’t feel like home? What did you do to fix it? Or did you just move
Have you ever had one of those terrible training runs? How did you overcome it?
