17 Weeks: Workouts, Weekly Tracking and People Watching

17 Weeks PregnantHappy Week 17!  That’s right baby nuunie is entering the 17th week weighing in at about 5 oz. and I have been very bad at working out since Hawaii.  Mainly because I’ve cracked a rib coughing (sad, I know).  I’ve you’ve ever done this before you know.  It hurts like hell.  Just getting out of bed is enough to make you cry.  That and sneezing are the two worst things in the world.  Obviously running hasn’t been top of my list until Friday.  It was 70 degrees here in STL and I couldn’t help it.  I had to try it.
The weather was beautiful and the run felt pretty good to start.  About 3 miles in I could feel my ribs starting to hurt so I ended up walk/running the last mile.  Yes I was sore but I couldn’t help it.  The weather was just too gorgeous.
Week 16 overall was pretty good.  I had some excitement at work which I think contributed to some exhaustion a couple days but overall pretty good.
Here’s a quick recap of my workouts.
I’m kind of obsessed with numbers so I’m going to try to track my changes to weight and other measurements.  I wanted to do this with E but I didn’t do it.  So I’m going to try to do it here.  I’ve always been interested in seeing exactly what does pregnancy do to our bodies.  Not entirely sure I measured exactly right but if I measure wrong the entire way through it’s ok right?  🙂
In other news, S and I went to a party hosted by Alive Magazine and Chevy as part of the KeysToSTL program.  We had a pretty good time. I remember real quick that I’m not exactly the night club type.  We were sitting in this booth just people watching when we were approached by a model agent who gave me his card and later sat with us with his models that were also attending the event.  Needless to say this pregnant momma was ready to get out of there.  The best part was hanging with my hubby for some adult time (our 4 year anniversary) and of course, the people watching.  I just don’t really feel comfortable in settings like that.  Never really have but definitely not now.  Oh well.

    You look fantastic!! And I can’t believe Nuunie is 17 weeks already! I hope that your rib heals quickly and Happy Anniversary!! I totally cannot hang with the cool kids anymore out in the clubs.

      Thanks Christine! I know. I’m ready to feel some movement. It was 20 weeks before I did last time around.

      I’m hoping I don’t even have to try to hang with club crowd ever again. 🙂

      I’m hoping about 3-4 weeks to heal. It has gotten better but still not 100%.

      Thanks, I think I’m running longer into my pregnancy this time than I did the last time but maybe I’m remembering it wrong.
