Sesame Street Live + Promo Code

Ever since E was about 1, he has loved Sesame Street.  I’ve always taken so much joy out of watching him dance to the opening song and yelling to me at the top of his lungs every time Elmo comes on.  So when I found out Sesame Street Live was coming to STL in January, I knew we had to go.
When I was younger, my mom took me to seek Sesame Street Live on Ice and we STILL talk about how during the performance, I ran up on stage with a bag full of cookies and fed Cookie Monster.  Who knows, maybe I’ll even run into Cookie Monster and he’ll remember me.  ๐Ÿ˜‰  So many good memories that I hope to have with E.
๏ปฟThe best part is that the performance is based on the DVD that we have been watching on repeat since about January of this year.   E is going to know EVERY song!
When Elmo gets his furry fingers on Abby Cadabby’s magic wand, there’s something in the air – and Sesame Street becomes a nonstop, all-singing, all-dancing musical montage! Grover and Baby Bear sing their highs and lows, Cookie Monster sings fast and slow, Bert and Ernie converse in song and Murray makes mouth music for all to sing along! Learn why it feels good to sing a song, but why it feels good to stop, too! What will Elmo learn about the power of musical magic? Join the conga line of fun to find out!
I asked my husband if we could go and after I heard him take it all in, he agreed. (Such a good dad!).  I’m hoping that I can convince him to let us go early so E can play in the new Play Zone.  How cool does this sound?
Come and Play BEFORE the Show! VEE Corporation introduces Play Zone at Sesame Street Live – a fun new way for children to experience their favorite street! Imagine your child sitting in Big Bird’s nest, popping up in Oscar’s trash can, twirling in Zoe’s dance studio or visiting Elmo’s World. You never know who’ll make an appearance! Families won’t want to miss a single picture-perfect moment. Play Zone opens one hour before the show – best of all, Play Zone is FREE with your Sesame Street Live ticket!
I don’t know about you but how cool would it be to have a FaceBook profile photo of you and your kid sitting in Big Bird’s nest.  ๐Ÿ™‚  The kid in me thinks that sounds awesome.
Here in STL, they are doing 9 shows at the Peabody Opera House.  The performance schedule is:
  • Thursday January 24 10:30 AM & 7:00 PM
  • Friday January 25 10:30 AM & 7:00 PM
  • Saturday January 26 10:30 AM 2:00 PM 5:30 PM
  • Sunday January 27 1:00 PM & 4:30 PM
Tickets Info:
  • Ticket prices: $12, $18, $24, $36 (Gold Circle) & $60 (Sunny Seats).
  •  Opening Night (Thursday, January 24, 7:00 PM)โ€”All seats $10 (excluding Gold Circle and Sunny Seats).

I would really love to get the Sunny Seats but that might be a point of negotiation.
Sunny Seats include VIP seating, a Meet & Greet with Elmo and another Sesame Street Live character before the show, plus access to the Sesame Street Live Play Zone before the general public!
Wanna go? Well it’s your luck day!  I have a promo code for $3 off select tickets!  Just head over to STLKids to grab it!

If you’re not in STL, check out the full schedule to see when Elmo and gang will be in your city!

Have you ever taken your child to a show like this?  What are your favorite memories or advice?  I’d love to know what I’m getting myself into.  ๐Ÿ™‚
