32 Week Pregnancy Update

February 19, 2013 19 Comments

If you're new here, you may want to subscribe to my RSS feed. Thanks for visiting!

If you haven’t been following Ashley from My Food ‘n’ Fitnes Diaries, she’s pregnant too and just a week ahead of me.  She does a great post every week so I thought I’d answer some of her same questiosn to see how we’re matching up.

Here we go!

How far along? 32 weeks

Baby’s size? The size of a HoneyDew
Total Weight Gain: 27 lbs
Stretch marks? Nope!  I think it must be genetic because my mom never did and neither did my sister.

Sleep: I remember being so uncomfortable with E that I couldn’t sleep but with this one, not much stands in the way with me and sleep (when I get it).  I’m asleep the second I hit the pillow, now if I could just get E to stay asleep all night, I could get a consecutive 7 or 8 hours.

Best moment this week: Making pillows for Baby Nuunie’s room.  They turned out so good.

Miss Anything? Oh yes!  Wine, my clothes, high heels, oh and did I mention wine?!

Movement: Oh heck yeah!  I’m pretty sure she thinks my bladder is a punching bag.  With E, he used my ribs.  I was pretty sure I was going to be left with one less rib the way he punched and jabbed at it.  She seems to be punching at my bladder as if it’s a pillow you can’t seem to get just right.

Food cravings: In the beginning it was green beans and now it’s just anything sweet.

Anything making you queasy or sick: Nope!

Gender: Girl!
Labor Signs: Braxton-Hicks contractions have started but they aren’t anything to get worked up over except when I stand up only to realize my stomach feels like a rock.
Symptoms: Just tired, and cranky but what’s new.

Belly Button in or out? In!

Wedding rings on or off? Still on thank god.  With E, by this time they were put away but then again it was August.
Looking forward to: Just getting back to a normal routine (or at least trying to figure out the new normal).

Workouts: I’m still getting about 3-5 workouts in a week.  I even got a little bit of running in.  It’s amazing what just 10 min of running on a treadmill can do for your sanity.  I love lifting right now for  a number of reasons. I love the looks I get in the weight section of the gym (mostly men) and I’d like to think/hope that I’m putting on some muscle right now too which would make getting back to my post baby body a little easier.

I’m definitely in that stage where I’m out of breathe quicker so that is limiting me but I’ve been doing the Nike Training Club workouts and modifying them.  Here’s an example of one of the workouts I did last week:

Ok, so there you have it.  We are now less than 8 weeks away (or at least I hope) from meeting the newest family member.  I am so excited to meet her.

I am new to your blog, found you on the STL Bloggers FB site. I sort of toying with the idea of having a third baby… since having my 4 year old I have really gotten into running and I try to do weights a couple of times a week, too… so its interesting to hear how you are staying fit while preggo! BTW, you look great!

Looking good!!! Do you think you’ll have the baby early? I’m really loving lifting right now too. Why didn’t I do this in previous pregnancies??? It’s so much easier on my body (ahem, my pelvic/crotchal area) than cardio!

I reaaaaalllly miss wine. I had half of a glass last night due to a stressful day and lame BH contrax (hoping it would help relax me a little) and it just gave me heartburn. Can’t say it was worth it.
