I have to be honest for a minute…I’m not made of money. Shocker right?! That doesn’t stop me of dreaming of the things I would get if there weren’t things like a mortgage, child care and food to pay for. So as I contemplate what I would get if someone handed me a couple bucks, I thought it would be fun to see what you would do.
Ready?
I’m sure there are more but these would be the things I looked at buying first.
What’s on your wish list? Are you struggling with any This/That purchases right now?

I would love a bicycle and some new weights and some tennis gear… hmmmm.
Crossfit has been on my wish list for awhile but I can’t justify the cost of a box membership right now. Second choice would be a bike. Good luck choosing!
being able to do certain things for our house is definitely on my wish list! we need new patio furniture so may start looking soon since itz the end of the season!
BIKE BIKE BIKE!!!
I’d go for the Y membership, so I could swim year-round!
I need both a new bike AND a Polar monitor…gahhh! How do you choose!? My wish list, right now, includes a new Nook…mine went kaput last month and I feel lost without it!!
CrossFit! I already belong to a really great gym system, so justifying an additional CrossFit membership is out of the question for me. So were money not an issue, that’s where I’d put it. Good luck making your choice!
I would loooove that Polar watch! I’m eyeing a $79 half zip (that I need like another hole in the head)in the Athleta catalog. But I picked up a $17.99 Costco special that looks pretty good–we’ll see!
I’m really struggling with a watch decision right now. My garmin is on it’s final leg and I REALLY need a new watch. I’ve looked at so many and just can’t make up my mind. Do I go with a running watch like I have, or go to the 910XT because I am doing another half iron and a full iron next year? And even on that note, paying for any watch is going to be not-so fun…GPS is expensive!!
I want a membership to my local Hot Yoga studio.. I love going, but it’s so expensive!
I love my gym, but I too might switch to the YMCA if money were no issue. The Y’s near me are great for families.
I love crossfit, but it is also the only gym I belong to. My wish list would include a new garmin and probably a TM upgrade to a Woodway.
Shopping spree at Athleta and Lululemon and probably a polar watch!
I am dreaming of a new road bike. And also a vacation. Neither are gonna happen anytime soon, but I am dreaming anyways.
Crossfit is something that is a permanent part of our budget because I love it so much, so its non negotiable 🙂 However, if we had extra money, I would love to get a bike and a new, less bulky garmin.
I’m a big backer of Garmin (I think I’m like 4 generations deep in Forerunners). I love my 910XT especially for the stroke efficiency analysis on the swim. If you’re sticking with triathlon, that’d be my pick.
I like Crossfit, but even though I thought I was going to make it more often, but I’ve been a little swamped at work; and here’s the thing… Although WODs are short in time, factoring in the warm-up, and the fact that the time slots are more of a guideline (they don’t start the WOD till a few people show up) and no showers on site, they can be a little too big a time suck in light of the stuff you talk about in the “Working Mom’s Practical Guide to Staying Fit”.
Bikes are big in my future… mountain or tri, though?
