Outtakes and More

September 18, 2013 12 Comments

If you're new here, you may want to subscribe to my RSS feed. Thanks for visiting!

I had a couple people ask to see some of the attempts from yesterday’s Push-Up post.  Believe it or not, it’s a little tough to get technical push-up photos with a toddler running around.  In his mind, I just look like a jungle gym.  So I don’t fight it and as a result, you get what you get.  🙂

I did, by request, also add the video to the Push-up post that was on instagram a couple days back.  Another example of how you just do what you have to do.  Capt. Sean and I were laughing today because it’s just another way that life has changed….

We don’t buy weights (i.e. dumbbells, etc), we make them.  Ha!  Get it?

Well, I thought it was funny.

Alright, I’m done talking about push-ups.  Can we talk about a frustration I have?

I have so many things I want to do with the blog, so many ways I want to expand the ways I’m able to help, support and coach but everything I want to do seems to require some amount of money that I don’t have at the moment.  These crazy kids need things like food and childcare.  Ugh!  🙂

Anyway, I keep the ideas jotted down in a notebook in the hopes that one day I’ll get to do them.  I was staring at the notebook the other night and just got a little down.

I’ll keep plugging away at it I wondered, how do you plan?

What are some things you had on your “list” that you were able to get accomplished?  What were some of your biggest obstacles and how did you overcome them?

I think I just need a little inspiration and I know you all are the source!  So let’s talk!

There are always so many outtakes when the kids are involved! But those are also the best outtakes. Loved your push-up post. As for the doing things with your blog, I feel the same way. I have a running list in the back of a notebook. I cross things off every couple weeks/months and add about another 5 new things haha. I figure that I just need to keep plugging away slowly.

I love the outtake photos! I get similar results with my dogs when I try to do something on the floor when they are around.

There never seems to be enough time or money to get everything done that we want to accomplish. Just keep on doing what we can, and that will have to do.

Darn those kids that need food! 🙂 hee hee. I totally get it. When I get overwhelmed on long term planning, I try to focus on manageable, short-term goals. It makes it easier to see the end of the process and feel like I’m working towards something.

Gotta love the outtakes! I’m the same with my notebook of ideas. I just keep plugging away at the list as it gets longer. If only I was independently wealthy. Sigh!

Love the outtakes. I can remember my son being the same way when he was little 🙂 Always an ever growing to-do list. I accomplish things but at the same time I’m adding more things to the list. No wonder it’s never ending.

Well…you’re ahead of me b/c you have a list! I think I’d approach it one thing at a time…it can seem overwhelming when staring at a whole list of things to do. Good luck figuring it out (and maybe you have inspired me!)

I don’t yet have kids so I can imagine how challenging that is but they make for the BEST outtakes! It’s genuine and adorable too! I try to wing it with my blog – I may write a post if something comes to mind and save it – I did that with today’s 😉

The outtakes are awesome. They are REAL and in the moment.

I’m jotting a few things down that I hope to/will cross off by the end of the year!

Love the outtakes! I hear ya on the never-ending to-do list. There are so many things I want to do with family, blogging, and family. The list goes on and on! It’s easy to get overwhelmed, but I think the important thing is to focus on the priorities (family) and don’t worry about the little things.

I love the outtakes! When I was playing with my 5 month old nephew a few weeks ago I swear I could have used him as weights! Just do squats while holding him!

Such cute outtakes! I love the notebook idea. Having them written out is really helpful. It might help also to put them on a time table… 3 month goals, 6 month goals, 1 year and even 5 years. I do this with my health coach clients and it’s a great way to brainstorm where you want to be in the future and also recognize the timetable for your to do list.
