I’ve talked about Zoey before. She’s our four legged child. She was our first kid and has been a pretty awesome dog. She was a Senior Dog Rescue in 2006 when we got her so we’re not real sure how old she is. She’s primarily a German Shepard and has a protective instinct that I find very comforting with kids. We were only supposed to foster her but I realized really quickly that she had found her forever home and we had gotten a dog.
Now that we have two other babies, I will admit that I’ve neglected her a little. We haven’t walked as much as we used to.
So S and I have been working really hard to make sure we spend time with zoe. We even joined Purina® Pro Plan® ‘s Map My Fitness Challenge. We know that Zoey needs to work on her fitness as much as we all do.
Joining has helped us remember to make time for all our babies, even the furry ones. The challenge started on September 30th and runs through November.
We walk with Zoey because she’s a little older but if you are thinking of running with your four legged friend, check out this great video for some great tips for safely starting a running routine. Not every dog is a good candidate.

Will you join the challenge and make sure your dog is getting enough exercise? Do you run with your dog?
