Weekend Chic Fashion

If you're new here, you may want to subscribe to my RSS feed. Thanks for visiting!

Did you know I’m not the only blogger in the family?  In fact, I have two Sister In Law’s that are extremely talented at what they do.  Nina blogs at AccordingtoNina and Ashley blogs at TheStyleEditrix.com.

Today I’m super excited to have Ashley guest blogging here.  She has had some pretty glamorous jobs.  Most recently she was a fashion producer at E! and has since ventured off to get her blog going.  Her style is inspiring and functional.

Ashley shows you how to wear the latest trends in a way that makes sense.  I don’t get to see her near enough but I’m glad she is here today.  I’m even more excited about the topic she’s covering.

If you’re like me, you would wear workout clothes 24/7 but we all know that is just not possible so Ashley has put together two looks that YOU or Me can put together and look stylish in the process and did I mention at a reasonable cost.

HERE’S ASHLEY!!!

On the weekends I am all about being comfortable.  After dressing up all week, who has the energy to be in tight clothing and certainly not running in heels!  Most of us, especially moms, are constantly on the go and dressing casual is key, but you can be casual and cute at the same time.  I am not one for wearing sweats in public unless it’s at the gym – I think everyone should find the time to put a little thought into your look, even if you are going to a soccer game or the grocery!  Weekend chic is definitely a style and one that is not hard to attain.

With a few key pieces like you see above: relaxed boyfriend jeans, cropped trousers, a tweed jacket, slouchy but nice tee, and sweater – you are set and can recycle them often.  Everything you see can be bought online (what a time-saver) and best of all – everything I compiled here is affordable.

You don’t have to drop the big bucks to look put-together and nice.  These easy looks are just inspiration, so if you are feeling a little more bold get a great pair of printed pants for spring, or if you aren’t a huge fan of color on the bottom, stick to a light gray or khaki trouser.  You also might wonder if you are bold enough to rock a statement necklace with a sweater and jeans, but it works – I promise (even with a trench or field jacket over it to make it even more low-key).

It’s just the right amount of bling and I love mixing unexpected pieces together.  At the end of the day, throw on a leather moto jacket and a cute pair of heels and you can take both of these daytime looks into date night or a night out with the girls!

Stylish Fashion

Left look: Gap Sunwashed Sweatshirt // BaubleBar Flower Child Pendant // H&M Boyfriend Skinny Jeans // Ivanka Trump Tiffany Ankle Boots // Sole Society Double Flap Crossbody Bag
Right look: Everlane Slouchy Ryan Pocket Tee // Gap Cropped Wool Moto Jacket // Zara Ankle Cropped Trousers // Old Navy Skinny Metallic Belt // JustFab Payoff Handbag (looks SO similar to the pricy Fendi bag) // Madewell D’Orsay Flat in Spot Dot

Cute outfits! I really wish I was more stylish. There are times I can pull off a really great outfit, but my usual attire is jeans and sneakers.

SO cute! Love both looks, but really love the one of the left–totally my style. I need to learn to make a floating image like these– do you know how?
