February has been a busy month for me. Someone asked me the other day how I do it and I am not entirely sure.
But what I do know is something I learned from my dad…Opportunity doesn’t just happen. You have to make it happen.
You CAN take nothing and turn it into something. The only thing holding you back is YOU.

I watched my dad spend his entire life building what I can now see was his vision. He knew, in his mind, what he wanted to achieve and he was doing it. He was in his element making decisions that led to new opportunities and battling through when things didn’t quite pan out.
So I guess it’s only right in this month where I’m thinking so much about him (2 year anniversary of his death) that I find myself with a clearer understanding of what it is I want and a drive to get it. For once in my life I have a vision. I have a plan. It’s lofty and I would be lying if I said I wasn’t nervous that it might not happen but I’m not scared enough to run away.
Right now opportunities aren’t just presenting themselves to me. I’m making them happen and I’m cautiously optimistic. I’ve done what I can do and now I’m waiting and if things don’t go my way this time around, I’ll regroup and try something new.
So my questions for you are:
When opportunity presents itself do you take it?
How do you create opportunity?
What is it that you want and how can you make it happen?
