Working full time and trying to manage a family is challenging. That probably comes as no surprise. Getting to the office around 8 and not leaving till after 5 can really limit the amount of time to spend getting your workouts in.
At this point in life it would be easy to just say, there is no time and just through in the proverbial towel but if you’re like me, a healthy lifestyle is just part of who I am. It’s not always easy but with a little creativity, anyone can make it work.
I introduced you to my dream of creating a workout DVD for busy people and while the crowdfunding may not pan out, I won’t give up on that dream.
Once MiniE was born, I realized I really needed to get creative. I have spent a good amount of time trying different ways to burn a few calories during the work day.
A while back I showed you a few moves that you can do just hanging out at your desk. Those are easy enough to figure out on your own. Heck, you were probably already doing some of those.
Then we talked about the practical guide to making time for fitness. But now it’s time for taking your fitness to the next level without even leaving your desk or hanging up your phone.
I kind of laughed about it the first time I tried this but it actually did produce a pretty good workout. Just think about it. How many conference calls do you have during the day? If you’re like me some days you can have as many as 6-7 hours so why not make that time work for you. Introducing the conference call workout! You’re gonna want to pin this. 😉
Part humor part real. I challenge you to see how this works for you. What? You don’t have the luxury of being on conference calls all day? Well then print my workout and do it during this fabulous little video! I promise you’ll sweat! 🙂
What are your favorite ways to squeeze fitness into your day?
What do you do when some bozo leaves their line open and talks about their weekend not realizing that 100 or so other people can hear their “private” conversation? Or worse, presses the “hold” button causing the entire conference to have to listen to elevator music?
ha!! I hate that!! 🙂
I could have used this in my former life! How about a plank for the time someone puts the whole call on hold and subjects everyone to the awful hold music?
haha LOVE IT!
I love this idea! Unfortunately I share my office with 4 other people so it might get a bit weird! 🙂
This is so funny! I can’t wait to try it.
Oh this would definitely spice up a boring conference call!
Love this idea! So cute!
