Loving/Not Loving

June 26, 2014 18 Comments

If you're new here, you may want to subscribe to my RSS feed. Thanks for visiting!

Marcia over at MarciasHealthySlice does this thing called “Love/Not Loving”  It’s just a fun way to look at life at the moment and a bunch of random things have been swirling around in my head so I thought it would be a fun way to set them free so let’s begin.

Loving…
trading winter coats for sunscreen
Not Loving…
having to try to apply it to two squirly toddlers (it’s a workout all it’s own)

Loving…

that E is FINALLY starting to get the whole potty training thing
Not Loving…
watching my dear sweet boy pee all over the bathroom

Loving…
watching MiniE try to figure it all out

Loving…
summer long runs
Not Loving…
having to get up early on the weekends to get them in before it gets too hot

Loving…
all the amazing summer fruit and vegetables
Not Loving…
spending all Sunday night cutting them all up

Loving…
that the Rock ‘n’ Roll Chicago Half is less than three weeks away (you can register here)
Not Loving…
that I haven’t run more than 7 miles in my training

Loving…

New Gym Selfie

our new gym.  The kids love it, they have everything I could want.
Not Loving…
basically going through the New Year’s Eve crowd all over again until the newness of the gym wears off

Loving…
my single BOB stroller.  It’s so nice to be able to grab a child and take off for the trail.
Not Loving…
that I sold my double and now I wish I still had it. (Doh!)

Loving…

Barre 3 St. Louis!

Barre 3.  I finally got to take a class over at Barre 3 St. Louis.  AH..MAZING workout! Melissa is an awesome instructor!
Not Loving..
that there isn’t more time so I can take it more often!

What are you loving this time of year?  What race are you looking forward too? Have you ever taken a Barre class?

Great post! Fun way to look at things. I have done a few barre classes. I see why people might like them but I need to sweat more! Cardio junkie I guess.

I’m so sorry you’re missing your BOB Duallie. My husband and I just talked about whether to keep our single and still buy a double with our second child so that I had the option to run with one or both. After hearing you missing yours, I think I’ve made up my mind. Those strollers are da bomb!

I’m loving that it’s light earlier, but definitely not loving that I have to get out there so stinking early in an attempt to beat the heat.

Love this idea! My not is trying to figure out why I get a pain in my shin after running and never during. Ugh! Loving? My dad is coming to visit this weekend 🙂

Cute post idea — maybe I’ll try it sometime! I feel ‘ya on the having to wake up early on the weekends to do long runs — it is nice how in the fall/winter/spring you can sleep in a little later!
