You can probably tell I’ve been on a kick lately to mix it up…work on strength, agility and just overall fitness. After my feeble attempt at the America Ninja Warrior obstacles, I started to think about my workouts. I wanted to create a workout that would test all the same sort of muscle groups in the ways that ANW obstacles would without having to go to the gym. That’s where this workout comes in and has been kicking my butt.
At first glance, you might think it’s no big deal but starting with the warm-up you will find yourself doing really different things.
You might have scanned the workout and saw Crawling…yeah crawling. It’s not a joke and it’s not like your baby crawls. Rather than crawling on hands and knees, get up on your toes. Just crawl from one end of the room and back making sure to keep the opposite arm moving with the opposite leg. It’s harder than you think and will challenge your coordination. The rest is pretty self explanatory. If you’re like me…some of this is going to touch a nerve because like I said in this post…my upper body needs work and lots of it!
I’m headed back to the KOR Komplex to see if I do any better this time around. Change is exciting and addicting and I’m loving this stuff!
