Sunshine and Smiles

January 1, 2015 22 Comments

If you're new here, you may want to subscribe to my RSS feed. Thanks for visiting!

Hello from the Sunshine State where we are enjoying a much-needed week of rest, relaxation and smiles.  I look forward to this week every year and it’s been that way since I was a little kid (read about the tradition here).  It truly is a week where we set NO schedule, we make no attempt at crossing off things on our to-do list, we simply go with the flow.  It always makes me realize two things:

1. We run SO FAST the rest of the year.  Day in, day out, schedule, schedule schedule, run, run, run, do, do, do.  It can’t be healthy.

2. It is so easy to forget the family.  We get so caught up in our responsibilities and what we HAVE to do as parents that we don’t have a lot of time to do what we WANT to do with our kids which is make memories.

Motivational Quote

It’s been a good week.  So rather than tell you about it, I thought I would just share some snapshots.  I’m pretty sure they speak for themselves and if you follow me on IG and you’ve already seen these…well, enjoy them a second time, I know I will enjoy them for a lifetime!

Awe! Don’t miss these adorable and inspirational snapshots! #FitFluential

My goal is to do more family things together. You are right – we get so wrapped up in the go go go we don’t spend the time to do more of what we want to do with our loved ones.

Love the photos! I’m trying hard not to let myself get caught up in the “so fast” that I lose sight of what is truly important. Fun post!
