Hello from the Sunshine State where we are enjoying a much-needed week of rest, relaxation and smiles. I look forward to this week every year and it’s been that way since I was a little kid (read about the tradition here). It truly is a week where we set NO schedule, we make no attempt at crossing off things on our to-do list, we simply go with the flow. It always makes me realize two things:
1. We run SO FAST the rest of the year. Day in, day out, schedule, schedule schedule, run, run, run, do, do, do. It can’t be healthy.
2. It is so easy to forget the family. We get so caught up in our responsibilities and what we HAVE to do as parents that we don’t have a lot of time to do what we WANT to do with our kids which is make memories.
It’s been a good week. So rather than tell you about it, I thought I would just share some snapshots. I’m pretty sure they speak for themselves and if you follow me on IG and you’ve already seen these…well, enjoy them a second time, I know I will enjoy them for a lifetime!
I hope your 2015 holds many opportunities to make memories and live a little. I know I’ll be doing a better job trying to do so!
Adorable! Looks like you are having a most wonderful time. 🙂
It’s sad that it’s almost over. Thanks Rosi!
HOpe you are having a fabulous time slowing down!! Happy New Year!
We are. Thanks Sue!
Adorable!!! We don’t take enough time to enjoy the good things and MAKE memories. This is one of my plans for 2015 as well. Enjoy the rest of your vacation!!
Thanks Elizabeth! Hope you make some amazing memories!
I write this from the cold tundra of Vermont, absolutely green with envy over those beach pictures! 🙂 Have a wonderful vacation Katie!
Brrr! Thanks Heather!
My goal is to do more family things together. You are right – we get so wrapped up in the go go go we don’t spend the time to do more of what we want to do with our loved ones.
It’s easy to do. It’s harder to slow down
How nice to be ablet to turn it all off and enjoy some family time… specially when there are so many fun things to do together! Sweet.
It’s been fabulous

Thanks Debbie. We are having a blast!
Love the photos! I’m trying hard not to let myself get caught up in the “so fast” that I lose sight of what is truly important. Fun post!
It can definitely be tough but sooo important.
