I am just going to ask Southwest for a permanent seat on their flights. I’m traveling again this week but luckily it’s literally only 24 hours…east coast and back. FUN huh?
Anyway, I have a few random things I want to share a few random things that I’m loving these days.
The first thing is something I was given an opportunity to try and I’ll admit it’s been really nice to have. You know I’ve been training and leaning up for a hopeful birth on America Ninja Warrior. Well, this came about that time so I’ve been using it as a guide to tell me if I’m going in the right direction. It’s a tool that measures your body fat and a number they call the MQ. I just wrote this whole post about how function is more important than form so I want to be clear that my usage of the Skulpt It has been focused on performance. My thought process in leaning out was that there would be less weight to pull up, or carry through the various challenging obstacles of the show and the Skulpt helped me realize that goal. I see this being a very useful tool for personal trainers or those that are interested in knowing these types of numbers. As with any of these fitness tools, they aren’t the end all be all but they are a nice reference and I think it’s pretty close in its measurements. Check it out here
Fast Drying Towel and Kettlebell
The next is a towel..yeah I know “whoopie Katie…a towel but this thing is more than just a towel. It’s a fast drying towel. I tried it after the shower one time just to see what they meant and it really does soak up water quickly and then you can wring it out and it’s dry. I’m thinking this is going to be a great transition towel for the couple small triathlons I have this year and I know it will be going with me to the pool. The other thing I use it for is when I get in from a sweaty run, I usually lay right on the carpet and take off socks and shoes and stretch. Now I reach for this towel and I love it! You can like the Facebook page for updates on when it will be available.
Have you ever heard of a portable kettlebell? No, I’m not joking. My cousin introduced me to this product. It’s used by the military for training and working out and I can see why. You simply fill it with sand (that I might have taken from my kids). It can weigh up to 15 lbs which is a great weight for a kettlebell. You can check IT out here.
The next thing is something I learned about from one of the many PR pitch emails I get daily. I usually skim them then delete them but this one caught my eye. They offered to send me this beautiful silk scarf in exchange for helping spread the word about World Vision’s quest to get clean drinking water into the hands of millions across the globe. Check out the mission World Vision is on by checking out their Facebook page and on Twitter at @WorldVisionUSA
Crocs Angeline Flat
The LAST thing and then I’m going to bed..seriously. I’m tired. Is this pair of Crocs. As you can probably tell, I’ve teamed up with Crocs to give you a glimpse into their new spring line and I’ll admit I was a little leery when I thought I would be showing you a bunch of clogs but when the first couple pair came, I was shocked at how cute they were and really how versatile they are. Then the next couple pair showed up and they are just as cute as the last. I mean look at these!! If you haven’t checked out Crocs recently you must! I’m declaring this summer a Crocs summer because I’ll be wearing these puppies all summer plus! Go SHOP here!
Oh and if you aren’t a big fan of wearing shoes without socks, they Old Navy has you covered. I found these Microliners there the other day and bought two packs. They are worth every penny. No show and perfect with my crocs. I’m in love!
See. I told you it was random.
Ok, good night. I have a big workday tomorrow and a couple more post to pump out.
What products have you bought or gotten lately that you think are just cool?
Good night! Toodles!
