I’m so excited to finally be sharing this little bit of information. It’s been a little bit in the making but it’s all set now. I hinted about it in Saturday’s post where I shared with you my, all be it crazy, training plan that is supposed to get me through the first part of May. See my plan here.
I’ll be running the GO! St. Louis on April 12th – Any of my local friends running it? We should plan a meet up at the expo.
Then, if it happens, America Ninja Warrior Taping – April 17th and 18th in Kansas City (also Boston Weekend)
Then finally, my second racecation of the year….the OC Marathon on May 3rd!!!!
The race weekend boasts both a full and a half (I’ll be running the half) with courses that will have you embracing the sun, surf and palm trees.
I’ll be heading out West all by myself so I would LOVE to have as many run friends meet me out there for some fun, run and surf! Registration is now open so you have time to register, and train for it besides, you need a racecation too! Gary, the OC Race Director is leading an amazing planning group out there and I’m looking forward to seeing and experiencing all their hard work.
More information to come. I’m hoping to get a Tweet up scheduled at the expo.
So take a minute, head over to OCMarathon.com and get excited, then book your travel and get ready for an enjoyable weekend of fun!
Have you ever run this race? What racecation do you want to take?
Awesome news! Excited to hear you are making the trek out here for the OC Marathon Weekend in May. You will enjoy the half marathon course. If you are free on Saturday morning, you should come meet some of our awesome Kids Run the OC runners!
I should be pretty free Jeff!
AMAZING!!!
🙂
Im doing the St Louis Go! Half as well. Will be #14 for me! Would LOVE to meet up at the Expo!
I’d love to do the Disney Princess half sometime. Looks like so much fun!
Yes, we should definitely meet up!
Ninja warrior is so exciting! You are one pretty bad ass mama!
That sounds like so much fun! I love Orange County, it’s so pretty. I would love to try and swing a trip over there but I’ve already committed to a Tri that same weekend. I think if I could plan a racecation it would have to be Florida Keys…maybe Ragnar one year?
That FL Keys Ragnar would be great!
Looks like a great time. I love love Newport and Balboa. That race should be amazing. Good luck with your training!
Thanks Elle, I’m looking forward to it!
I live just an hour and half north of OC. I’ve always wanted to run it, but it never falls at good time for me. Many people in my running group race it every year and have good things to say about it. I am sure you’ll have a blast.. plus going solo is sometimes good for a mama’s soul.
oh man! How cool would it be to see you! I’m definitely ok with traveling alone for this.
Oh my gosh so many exciting things happening! I am so happy for you!
And jealous of all this warm weather running you have planned hahaha (from your freezing cold Canadian Run Friend!)
I would love to run the OC Marathon, my sister in law lives there so it would make for a great racecation! Looking forward to hearing all abut it!
You apart of Moms RUN this town? There are bunch of girls in my chapter running it and I’m sure would love to meet up with you!
Ohhhh, I would love to do this race…too bad it’s so soon after Paris though. Don’t think the hubby would go for it. I could really use a little sun!
So fun!
My next racecation is to Louisville in April to run the KY Derby Half. I would love to go back out to run in souther California again, though. (I ran the disneyland half in aneheim a couple years ago)
Looks like a great location for a racecation! My husband and I are huge fans of racecations at Disney.
That’s awesome Katie! So much fun and amazing stuff ahead for you! I wish I could join you in California!
I’ve never done a runcation but would love to do one soon. This sounds like alot of fun.
Sounds like lots of fun! I love running along the Pacific coast!
Woo!! So excited for you! Can’t wait for the blog posts!
Oh this is awesome!! You’ve got the best race plans ever this Spring!
How fun!! You can’t go wrong with sun, surf, and sand! I’m originally from California, and I would choose this as my runcation- anything that takes me back home! You have a great schedule lined up!
Very cool and SO many fun things on the agenda for you this spring! Kudos and I look forward to following your adventures. 🙂
ooohhh the thought of warm, Southern California sounds FANTASTIC right now! Looks like a great time!
Looks like such a fun race! And and interesting course with lots of turns.
