This summer/fall I have three events that require me to clip in this year including two triathlons (a sprint and olympic distance) and a possible century (or two back to back) in the name of helping to find a cure for MS.
Needless to say, this running, gym-loving mother is the furthest thing from a novice, let alone expert in everything cycling so when Rodale offered to send me this, I didn’t wait to reply. Shop here: LINK
I have been flipping through the book and I love the way it’s organized.
- Part 1: Plan
- Part 2: Prep
- Part 3: Ride
- Part 4: Compete
- Part 5: Tend
As I was flipping, I hit this chapter, I pulled up a chair and read it cover to cover.
I really do have a burning desire to finish a century during Bike MS in September so now is the time to start preparing. Thanks to this book, I’m pretty sure I will succeed this year! One of the tips that I can totally understand now was this one on page 108:
On desents, your bike is much more stable when you’re peddling than when you’re coasting.
I learned on of my last rides that this is so true and it’s really helped me feel more confident on the bike. This book is LOADED with these kinds of tips.
You can find this book on Rodale’s Site. I firmly believe that this book is for every level of cyclist and everyone will get something out of it. So go check it out and order yours today!
