Hi. How are you? Hopefully your weekend is going as well as ours is. After traveling, you can’t beat a weekend at home. Our Saturday was PICTURE Perfect in so many ways. I can’t wait to tell you about our morning festivities. Seriously, memorable. You can catch an early glimpse on my instagram feed but I’ll give you one sneak peek here and here.
I also managed to squeeze in a three mile stroller run with E. I really do see the stroller as a training tool at this point. Pushing a 40+ pound kid is tough no matter how good the stroller is (and the BOB is the best). It’s all in the form with stroller running and after 4 and a half years of it, I’ve figured it out a little. (See my stroller running tips here).
What’s even more exciting is that I have a seven mile run scheduled tomorrow and it sounds like at least 5 of them I’m going to have company for. A while back I shared that I desperately want to find some running friends and I’ve tried a couple different times but it’s never panned out. Well tomorrow I’m trying it again and this time it feels different. It might actually happen and I couldn’t be happier!
All in all, running has been a lot of fun lately when I get to do it. Traveling has really put a strain on my scheduled workouts as well as every other part of my life and honestly, I’m trying to figure out what to do about it. I’ve got a lot of sou searching to do and I’m very conflicted.
We’re a few weeks away from Go! St. Louis and I’m feeling partially ready and really just want to get back to focusing on running. I haven’t gotten any calls about the other thing and at this point, I’m just kind of ruling it out, without any regret. Life is crazy enough right now. I tried and gave it as much as I could and I’m comfortable with that.
I also wanted to just spend a second professing my love for my Mizuno gear. I have so much love for their shoes. Right now I alternate between these beauties:
A few weeks ago I shared the ways I think running has changed me. Read it here. Well Mizuno and Competitor Magazine have teamed up and they want to hear your story. They want to know how #MilesChangeYou. You can share your journey here and be featured in their mini-series.
Ok, it’s still the weekend..go enjoy it. I’ll see you back here Monday AM with more running fun!
How is your weekend going? Have you been running outside a lot? How is your weather where you live?
