Oh man…lately I’ve been bitten by the Boston Bug. As a runner, this is essentially like the first day of March Madness for me. The fact that it’s on a Monday is a cruel joke.
I have so many friends running that I will have to follow.
- Kristen // StuftMama
- Rachel // Running Rachel (Team Stoneyfeld)
- Angela // HappyFitMama (Team Stoneyfeld)
- Michelle // NYCRunningMama
- Danni // Weight Off My Shoulders
- Laura // MommyRunFast (Team Stoneyfeld)
Just to name a few. I do love the drama at the front too.
I’ll be watching the Elite Men like I watched last year. I followed Meb’s journey with my jaw on the ground. He won last year with a time of 2:08:37. That’s my half marathon pace. His pace was 4:55/mile. Think about that….WOW! Oh and the fact that he was 38 is even more awesome! Some of my friends ask how I can watch people run. Well when they run as fast as Meb it’s pretty easy. 🙂 I’m also going to be watching Jeff Eggleston on the men’s side. He’s kind of a loner and not part of any “team”. He’s self trained which is kind of cool and he may not win but I’m definitely interested in seeing what he’s capable of.
On the ladies side, Shalane will be someone to watch. I wanted so much to see her win last year. After getting to meet her and run with her in Chicago last year, I’m even more in her corner.
It’s a strong group this year and regardless of who wins, it’s going to be so much fun to watch. Want to watch? You can stream it live here.
