This week is turning out to be all St. Louis all the time but when you live somewhere you’re proud of, you want everyone to know it. This town has so much to offer and I sometimes feel it’s my responsibility and honor to remind you and as always, invite you to come be a tourist with me. That’s why I’m throwing my hat in the ring to be the official Explore St. Louis Ambassador.
What’s that? I can’t be a tourist because I live here? Well, that is just plain silly. I’ve been here 14 years and I still feel like a tourist. In the past I’ve shared a few posts on some of the ways and things to check out in St. Louis, (Read them here and here) but there’s so much more.
One of the places I’m most appreciative to have close to me is Grant’s Farm. There is something for everyone. I’ve taken my kids there a few times and they always love it. They have so many fun seasonal events too. Grant’s Farm is also the home of some of the infamously beautiful Clydesdales. The horse that’s been representing A-B for ages and I get to run by them almost every day!
This is just one of the MANY family attractions you can come browse. If animals are your thing, you will want to add the Zoo to your list. I can’t say enough good things about our zoo. This is another one of those attractions St. Louis is lucky to have. OH and did I mention they are free to get in? Well they are!
I could go on and on. If you want a sophisticated adult evening, head to Four Season’s Hotel. I’ll confess that my guilty pleasure is to head to their spa once a year and just spend the ENTIRE day there. It’s an amazing experience.
If you’re looking for good beer, well there are a number of places but maybe check out some of our local favorites, check out Square One Brewery.
Want to see all the city has to offer in a unique way? How about a running tour? Yep, we have them and you won’t believe all the architecture you’ll see here.
Oh and don’t forget that you can’t come to St. Louis during baseball season and not get to a game. I love baseball but what’s even better is that in this city, it’s a family event. Bring the babies and enjoy all the park has to offer.
If you want to browse for ideas for your next trip here, the best place for you to go is the Explore St. Louis site. Their Member Directory has something for everyone and showcases some of the best of the best in so many categories.
So what does the St. Louis Ambassador do? Well pretty much this, spreading the word. Selling our city, except I don’t think there’s any selling needed.
Take a look, plan your trip, and be sure to let me know when you’re coming. I’ll be sure to get excited for you and help you figure out exactly what you need to plan to do.
