Time to be truthful. We are right in the middle of the summer run season and I’m betting you are deep in the throughs of training but how is your cross training? Are you working on strength at all?
I had a really good winter where I really focused on getting stronger and I think it really helped me get a 5K PR earlier this summer but just like many, I’ve slipped back into a heavy run cycle and have neglected strength training.
That’s why when Bowflex asked me to help them promote their 30 day Summer Strong Challenge, I knew I had to because I personally need to focus a little more on it and maybe you do too.
What is the 30 day Summer Strong Challenge you ask?
It’s simple. Bowflex has setup a move per day for 30 days. They challenge you to complete the move three times (one minute each) with a break in between. See how easy that is?! I’m going to amp it up another notch though…I challenge you to build the workouts throughout the 30 days. So each day do the new move and the moves from the prior days! That will give you an awesome workout and you gradually build up to it.
