Hello!! How was your week?! I have to say, ours was fantastic! What made it so great? Absolutely NO travel, no pre-established plans, just PURE FAMILY and FITNESS. It’s weeks like these that I feel most accomplished.
So I thought we would do a Friday Five a few different ways…IG photos (Let’s connect), 5 Minute Workout, and a few other things.
2. Biking…It’s not my favorite but that’s only because I don’t feel very confident on it so when I have a few extra minutes, I head out and try to get some more miles on the bike. I love that the Garmin Forerunner 620 has a cycling setting. It’s nice.
3. Bowflex has inspired me to get back to my roots and work on strength. I got a pair of their 552 dumbbells and we are BOTH loving them.
4. I believe summer nights are meant for slowing down and enjoying. Sunday nights especially follow this rule. We love letting the kids run around outside, playing with the hose, eating ice cream cones and just getting so messy that you literally have to be hosed down before you can go back inside.
5. Just this morning. E knows almost EXACTLY when Scott gets up and when he does, he sneaks in and takes his place right next to me and we cuddle for a little bit before I get ready for work. This morning, in a rare twist of events, MiniE also woke up and wanted in on the cuddle action, before I knew it, I was kicked out and my bed and been overthrown by toddlers. Good thing they are cute!!
I think I should finish out the week with about 20 running miles and 20 or 30 biking miles. A couple more weeks like this and I should feel pretty good for my second triathlon of the season in July.
I’ve also been doing a little bit of swimming. By the end of the week, I’m hoping to have swam about a mile and a half.
Have you checked out Periscope yet? I’ve been having some fun working out in real time with some friends there. I call it the 5 minute fix and if you catch me, you can get your gear and workout with me or replay it.
I have a crazy travel week next week between an early trip to Chicago and a late week trip to Pittsburgh. I know my workouts won’t be what I want but I’ll pack for the opportunity and hope I get the chance.
After next week’s crazy travel, I’ll be taking some much needed time off and can’t wait to spend a solid 5 days with the kids! There will be pool time, and gym time and TONS of cuddle time!
So it’s your turn.
Have you heard of Periscope? What made your week so great? What’s ahead for your weekend?
