It’s been a good week. I took Mon, Tues and Wed off to be with the kids before “school” (pre-k) started. I wasn’t really sure what we were going to do, I didn’t really have anything planed but It didn’t really matter. So what did we do? Well, let’s check out some pictures shall we?
These are all over the place so let’s start in the middle bottom.
On Monday, we spent sometime at my mom’s condo playing in the pool and checking out the Arch work. We LOVE hanging out in downtown.
Tuesday we went to the St. Louis Science Center. I hadn’t taken my kids there before but thought it might be time. They had a blast. The dinosaurs were a huge hit but so was the rest of the place. We ended our trip with an iMax movie about Humpback Whales that had me dreaming of going back to Hawaii. Hmm..maybe a good spot for a Marathon comeback.
I wrapped up Tuesday night with an at-home workout. MiniE was so pooped from our science center visit that she just wasn’t feeling the workout so she found a comfy place and took a little catnap.
Wednesday the kids wanted to see their other grandmother who just happens to live a convenient 5 miles away from us. E knows that sometime I like to run there and he wanted to do that too BUT since pushing two kids for 10 miles round trip didn’t sound like fun, we negotiated with a bike ride. This Burley D’Lite is really sweet. I’m so grateful to have it.
Thursday was the first day of Pre-K. It’s not hugely monumental. E was technically in pre-k last year but he did switch rooms and teachers so it signified change and he will go to kindergarten next year which is blowing my mind.

>Kohls. For all things back to school. I’ve already done one round of shopping and am ready to go back again.
>Run Janji. This brand is still fairly new but they have come a long way in their designs while still holding true to their desire to help. Check out this awesome outfit perfect to get you through late summer and fall runs.
Sam’s – Random..yes but the bigger the kids get the more they consume and the more I need food in bulk. We’re there. I’m amazed at how much a two year old and a four year old can put away in a day. Hopefully a trip once a month will lead to fewer trips to the grocery store. Cross your fingers.
