you see I’m in Colorado enjoying a family ski trip but since MiniE is sick and sleeping in the other room, I’m taking in the amazing view from my room and talking to you. Take a minute and soak this in.
I wouldn’t call myself a great lover of the cold outdoors but it’s hard not to want to be outside all day everyday when you’re here. This is our second year making this family trip and I really look forward to it. I love seeing the kids try new things and E seems to really embrace skiing. He’s just got a natural athleticism that makes these types of things pretty easy for him. Just check out these skills…
He looks so little out there.
Last year when we came, I didn’t ski, I really played the role of mamager..just getting everyone where they needed to be to do their thing. This year Scott asked me to ski with him and I did. I don’t think I’m afraid of it but I just never had fun doing it until this year. Between Scott and our family, I had so many coaches to help me, in fact, I didn’t even fall once. I’m hoping to get out one more time before we leave but right now my job is to take care of MiniE.
So if you’re not following me on IG, go click here and do it. I’ll get you up close and personal to the mountain and all things Colorado!
And yes, I seem to be taking a voluntary hiatus from half marathon training and focusing on the family activities. I know I’ll pay for it when I get home but for now the biggest bang for my buck (time wise) is here with the family.
How was your weekend?
I just clicked on you from stl bloggers BC of the keyword I saw: copper! My family are regulars at copper mountain, I have gone every year since I was a baby. We actually just got back from Beaver Creek and that’s on my blog now: http://www.bluesfansforever.blogspot.com
