Spring is here! That means more time outside doing all the things I love…Running, swimming, cycling and golf. I know you’re probably asking
WHAT?!
Yep, I’m a golfer. Just like running, I’m not good but I do like playing. I like how humbling it is. I love the feeling you get when hit just the right shot! It’s the same kind of addicting feeling for me.
Growing up as a kid, my dad emphasized the need to learn the sport. As a business man, he played a lot and I saw very quickly there’s a place for it that can’t be replaced by a standard meeting. So I learned, clinics and camps. Like I said, I’m not good but because of my job, and having found friends that play, I do find myself playing more than ever.
That’s why I was so excited when the opportunity to collaborate with Adidas Golf came up. Over the next few months, I’ll be showcasing their amazing golf gear and hopefully peaking your interest some if you’re not a golfer today!

I’ll be cleaning up my game with some lessons and playing a few rounds along the way with friends and coworkers! So keep up with my golf game by following the hashtag #GearedForMore Before my first lesson I thought I would try out the new gear and see where I am. Talk about humbling. The first shot of the season was NOT pretty, but it quickly got better. Oh and yes, I’m left handed (some call it backwards but whatever).
It was kind of nice hanging up my swim cap and goggles for a club and some fresh air! I was thinking about one thing my boss (who is a pretty good golfer) had told me was that the swing is all in the core. So I focused on making sure I was engaging it and it worked!
As part of this collaboration, I also got to try out some new TaylorMade clubs and OH MY GOD! The difference a good club makes is amazing! I really didn’t realize until I picked up these graphite shaft, crafted for women, clubs! Like BUTTER!
And because I never go anywhere without my running buddies (not always by choice). My little lefties decided to try their hand at the sport. Leaving both kids were begging for lessons. I guess I know what we’re doing this summer.

Wooo! Congrats Katie. Hubby mentioned one night he wished he had someone to golf with. I asked why not me?? He thought about it for a second and said , why not. So he gave me his old clubs and bought brand new ones for himself (well played, hubby). Anyways, I am in need of a lesson, but I’m not all that bad. I am in need of an outfit of two, so thank you for sharing your code!! Cheers!
