Phew…guys. Life is going about a thousand miles an hour. I’m sure you’re feeling the same way. Over this way, we’re juggling some family deaths, a pending home move, sick kids, work trips. I’m about out of mental capacity space. Thank goodness I’m back to running! What?! You didn’t catch the Instagram Story? So here’s the run down…
Remember a year ago that I was experiencing some knee pain? Well, I got a cortisone shot last year and it did the trick up until about the same time this year. Nervous about the next step, I delayed my revisit to the Ortho. I finally couldn’t handle NOT running so I went. The “good news” was that he saw no tear in my meniscus. The course of action was another cortisone shot but he did say that there was MOST likely a tear somewhere, we just weren’t seeing it…SO…the shot should get me through the LA Marathon but after that (maybe May), I might need to have my knee scoped. Yeah, not cool BUT we’ll figure it out when we get there. Right now, 24 hours later, I’m loving the feeling of relief in the knee pain
So that’s the knee rundown. NOW, on to some more fun topics. A while back, I did some work with Drury Hotels and was so excited to share it but they waited a while to release it. Well, the first of two webisodes are finally up. This was a first for me but I have to say, I loved it! That’s what I get for being a middle child I guess. 🙂 Check it out here:
Part two will come soon! I would love to do more of this. 🙂
OK, so a little more FUN news…I’ve been hesitant in the recent past to do any ambassador programs with brands…primarily because they don’t get it. BUT there have been a few opportunities I couldn’t refuse. Obviously, Lululemon was an amazing opportunity and the LA Marathon but another one has come up….I’m pumped to tell you that I’ve joined the amazing women over at Coeur Sports for the 2018 season! I competed in their gear during Ironman Chattanooga and was really impressed with the gear! It’s quality. I can’t wait to represent them in what I hope will be a fun and full triseason!
OK, so I need to get back to packing for our upcoming move. MORE TO COME ON THAT! I just need to get through it at this point.
Hopefully you take get to take a breather this Thanksgiving and enjoy the time with your family and friends.
My advice
keep it all in perspective, don’t let the differences keep you apart! Celebrate them and embrace and love! It feels way better than harnessing negativity!
Happy Thanksgiving!
