See the thing about kids is….you have to pick your battles. The older they get the more opportunity there is for “issues” to come up. So that’s why when MiniE has been more assertive lately about her breakfast, I have to pay attention to what it is she wants.
The other day she asked me for yogurt (Stonyfield® YoKids® yogurt ) and a banana. I have ZERO creativity when it comes to food so I thought she would just eat the banana and drink the yogurt but then she asked for a cup. I obliged…
I sat and watched as she began to make her own breakfast smoothie if you will. She poured the yogurt into the cup then broke the banana into pieces and tossed them in…then proceeded to eat/drink every bit of it.
To say I was impressed is an understatement. I was thrilled with her choice, her independence and loved watching how happy she was to prepare it and eat it.
Stonyfield® YoKids® yogurt is a no brainer for me as a mom. I keep plenty of it in the drawer they know to be the “snack drawer” in the fridge and never object when they grab them. MiniE doesn’t drink much milk so I’m happy knowing she’s getting her calcium from yogurt.
It also helps knowing that Stonyfield® YoKids® yogurt features between 25% and 40% less sugar than the leading kids yogurt.
The last time we talked about Stonyfield® YoKids® yogurt, I told you about three tips for getting kids to eat healthy. All three of these tips, Amy Rodriguez and I BOTH agreed on! Amy was such a good role model for her kids and I know that they will make good decisions.
So next time you’re at the grocery store, head over and pick up some Stonyfield® YoKids® yogurt!
It’s the best!
