Dropping in and dropping some updates

February 2, 2018 1 Comment

If you're new here, you may want to subscribe to my RSS feed. Thanks for visiting!

If you’re reading this you know that we’ve been in a state of turmoil lately.

Between the house and my knee, my world isn’t exactly stable these days.  I realize it’s been almost a month since I gave you a real update so let’s begin shall we?

House

The HouseThis is the house we’ve been waiting for and Yes, we’re still waiting for it.  Things are in a better place than they were a month ago but we’re not there yet.  I’m HOPING that we’re less than a month away but there’s no way of knowing…there are too many other parties involved

I wish I could get more specific but I don’t think that’s a good idea.  What’s important for you to know is that we’re making the most of our situation and are trying to be patient.  Being homeless isn’t fun.

Running

And as for running and my knee…the good news is there’s no tear.  The frustrating new is there’s no tear.  There was a part of me that was hoping that I needed surgery so I could have a definitive issue to solve and a definitive action plan.  But given my current track record, of course it wasn’t going to work like that.  The doctor indicated that PT could help.  He also indicated that I couldn’t do any damage by running if I wasn’t in pain so I’m back to just trying to see what I can and can’t do.

I’ve been trying a lot of walking with some running mixed in and there’s definitely a threshold I have to work with but I’m trying and that has felt good enough I guess.

So what’s the bottom line?

Life is still in a state of flux and we’re still making due BUT if there’s a silver lining right now?  The dogs are learning to get along!

Both house and running situations sound so frustrating! PT helped a ton for me when I had knee issues back in October, and I was back running again a month later. Best of luck on both.
