Guys….I’ve been running. My longest is only 5 miles but it’s better than nothing. It’s amazing how much endurance I’ve lost. My knee is still not 100% and I’m afraid it’s just my new normal. But I guess after a few months of looking for a cause, I’ve finally started to come around to modifying my expectations and realizing I have to be more responsible with my post-run routine. Either way, I’m running, building the miles (carefully) and enjoying every stride of it!
I think what’s made my return to running even sweeter is the community support online and locally. Working with Lululemon has been an amazing relationship and now I can share that I’ll also be representing a local St. Louis favorite…
I’m super pumped about this partnership because it’s about as organic as it comes for me. I’ve been promoting these guys for YEARS! Check it out here and here.
Big River’s training programs helped me to the finish line of the New York Marathon in 2015 and helped me speed up in the summer last year. They are a great asset to the running community here in St. Louis and I couldn’t be prouder to sing their praises.
This week I had the chance to check out their newly remodeled West County Store (13969 Manchester Rd Town & Country, MO 63011) and check out some new shoes, which I desperately needed since I’m running in the one pair I somehow managed to NOT pack on the truck with all our stuff. It’s been nice to have them but I feel like they are taking a beating.
When I went in, they explained the new fit process they have as well as a running form analyzer. I took advantage of the fit process to ensure that I am, in fact, a neutral runner.
I tried on a bunch of styles and ended up with the Asics DynaFlyte2. I’ve had luck with Asics but this shoe was new to me. I’ve logged 6 miles on them and so far they are a winner!
Did you know Big River Running has a 30 day return policy? Even with wear!?
They want you to be in the perfect shoe and sometimes it takes a few times out to realize it. That’s pretty amazing.
The other thing I was NOT expecting were all the lifestyle shoes and gear they have. Instead of walking out of there with just a pair of Asics, I ended up with a bag full of goodies including these…
Aren’t they adorable?!! I’m in love!
This store literally has something for everyone (runners and non runners alike)!
So if you’re in the area and looking for shoes or gear stop by Big River Running Company either in West County, South City (5352 Devonshire Ave; St Louis, MO 63109) or University City (606 N and South Rd; University City, MO 63130).
Go check out Big River Running and tell them I sent you!!
