I was given these shoes but all opinions are my own. Affiliate links included
If you’re looking for a recap of the LA Marathon, I’ve written it but you’re gonna have to wait a couple more days. I want it to peculate a little bit.
A long time ago…the first real big blog collaboration I had included two brands that I still, to this day, have high regard for…these brands I would recommend a thousand times over because of the product they create and the feel that product elicits.
The first one was B.O.B. Stroller and while I’m sadly phasing out of stroller running I still think they are the best.
The second was Saucony. They gave the kids and I shoes and I ran in those shoes till they couldn’t take any more miles. E put his through the wringer too. So when they offered to send me the Freedom ISO I was excited to get back in a pair of Saucony’s. I’m a neutral runner and this shoe is great for me.
- Cushion: Not too soft not too hard. If you’re looking for a shoe with extra cushion, this one is not for you but if you like a smooth ride without the bulk, Freedom fits the bill.
- Shoe Construction: The upper is made of a mesh and breathes nicely. It’s not too restrictive either.
- Fit: There was no “break in” needed. They felt good from stride 1. I didn’t even have to size up. The toe box was just wide enough in my native size.
I’ve worn them to Orange Theory and Title Boxing and they’ve handled both really well.
Overall, it’s a really nice shoe and I’m looking forward to many many miles in them!
I may have a lot of endurance to rebuild but I’m glad to be able to do it in the Saucony Freedom ISO. The Freedom ISO can be purchased on Saucony.com. While you’re there, check out the shoes for kids too. (HINT: Shoes make great Easter Basket gifts. They are a great alternative to candy and the stuff that will get thrown away in a week).
